Effective January 1, 2027, AmeriHealth Caritas DC Healthy DC Plan enrollees have access to adult vision services.

Healthy DC Plan enrollees have coverage for routine eye exams and prescription eyeglasses. Enrollees age 21 and older will be eligible for one pair of eyeglasses every two years, except when the enrollee has lost their eyeglasses or when their prescription has changed by more than 0.5 diopter.

Regular eye exams can help detect vision problems and signs of eye diseases early, even when you have no symptoms.
